Daybreak Game Company LLC this week said it will release Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 to Nintendo Co., Ltd.’s Nintendo Switch 2 in 2027.

The title was scheduled to be released this fall. The delay is said to allow the developer extra time to optimize the title for the hardware.

Developed by Cold Iron Studios, Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 is a third-person shooter sequel to Aliens: Fireteam Elite. The follow-up includes online multiplayer for up to four users in frantic firefights against swarms of Xenomorphs.

The final game includes new and improved classes, deeper team-based mechanics, expanded weapon and gear customization, and Horde Mode to battle waves of enemies.
