Nintendo Co., Ltd.’s Nintendo Switch ranked as the No. 3 hardware in Japan in the latest retail data from the region.

Famitsu this month said Nintendo Switch sales totaled 6,111 units to rank as the No. 3 hardware between Aug. 17 and Aug. 23.

The Nintendo Switch OLED Model sold 1,973 units, the Nintendo Switch sold 595 units and the Nintendo Switch Lite sold 3,543 units in the period.

In Q1, Nintendo held net sales of $3.2 billion, down 9.5 percent year-over-year. Net profit increased 52.1 percent to $2.7 billion. Meanwhile, operating profit climbed to $902.7 million, up 150.5 percent percent from one year ago.

The Nintendo Switch sold 660,000 units in the quarter. It has sold 156.59 million units to date.

Nintendo held its annual net sales forecast of $12.67 billion and operating profit of $2.34 billion. The company forecasts 16.5 million Nintendo Switch 2 sales for the full fiscal year ending Mar. 2027.
