Apple Inc. this week announced the Mac mini with M6 and M5 Pro is a major update to the small desktop PC.

The Mac mini with M6 features a 12‑core CPU and 12‑core GPU. Each GPU core now sports Neural Accelerators to enable up to 4X faster AI performance and 40 percent faster CPU performance compared to the prior generation.

Meanwhile, the M5 Pro model offers more robust performance with an 18‑core CPU, 20‑core GPU, and support for up to 64GB unified memory.

Both models add Wi‑Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, and 2.5Gb Ethernet with a 10Gb option. The M6 model includes Thunderbolt 4, while the M5 Pro powers up to Thunderbolt 5.

The Mac mini M6 will sell at $899 and the M5 Pro will sell at $1,699. Both will be sold Sept. 22.
