Microsoft Corp.’s Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S ranked as the No. 4 best-selling video game hardware in the latest retail data from Japan.
Famitsu this month said the Xbox Series X|S sold 93 units to rank as the No. 4 best-selling hardware between July 13 and July 19.
For the period, the Xbox Series X Digital Edition sold 31 units, the Xbox Series X sold 19 units, and the Xbox Series S sold 43 units.
In Q3, gaming revenue decreased $380 million or seven percent driven by declines in Xbox content and services and Xbox hardware. Xbox content and services revenue decreased five percent on a prior year comparable that benefited from strong first-party content performance. Xbox hardware revenue decreased 33 percent driven by lower volume of consoles sold.
