Kirby Air Riders No. 8 in Japan sales

Famitsu this month said Nintendo Co., Ltd.’s Kirby Air Riders for the Nintendo Switch 2 ranked as a top-selling title in the latest retail data from Japan.

Between May 11 and May 17, Kirby Air Riders sold 2,778 units to rank as the No. 8 software in the period.

Kirby Air Riders is a sequel to Kirby Air Ride, released to the Nintendo GameCube in 2003. The racing title includes a roster of characters with distinct characteristics and abilities, in addition to new machine types.

New riding techniques include Boost Charge to brake and charge a speed boost, and Specials to activate a unique special move.

The final game includes the City Trial mode, Air Ride mode for six riders to compete to cross the finish line.
