Nintendo Co., Ltd. this week announce a price increase for the Nintendo Switch 2 amid strong performance in the latest quarterly results.

On May 25, Nintendo will increase the price of the Nintendo Switch 2 by 10,000 yen to 59,980 yen.

Beginning Sept. 1, the Nintendo Switch 2 will be sold at $499.99, a $50 increase from the $449.99 MSRP. In Canada the price will increase to $679.99 and in Europe the price will increase to 499€.

It cited rising component costs for the price hike.

The console has sold 19.86 million units to date.

In Q4, Nintendo held net sales of $14.7 billion, up 98.6 percent year-over-year. Net profit increased 52.1 percent to $2.7 billion. Meanwhile, operating profit climbed to $2.29 billion, up 27.5 percent from one year ago.

Nintendo forecasted a softer outlook for the upcoming fiscal year ending Mar. 2027, expecting slower sales for the Nintendo Switch 2.
