Famitsu this month said Nintendo Co., Ltd.’s Mario Kart World for the Nintendo Switch 2 ranked as the top-selling title in the latest retail data from Japan.

Between Nov. 24 to Nov. 30, Mario Kart World sold 49,586 units to rank as the No. 1 title for the week.

The title has sold 2.25 million units in the territory.

Mario Kart World is a new entry in the kart racing franchise that includes 24-driver races and connected race courses.

A new Knockout Tour mode allows users to race through back-to-back courses and checkpoints with no pit stops in an elimination marathon. In addition, Free Roam lets racers drive in any direction to any course.
