Apple Inc. this week will release the new iMac M4 desktop PC.

The new iMac includes the M4 chip for up to 1.7x faster productivity and up to 2.1x faster photo editing and gaming compared to the M1 chip.

All iMac M4 hardware will include 16GB unified RAM standard, configurable up to 32GB. In addition, the new iMacs feature two to four USB-C Thunderbolt 4 ports in the back for expansion. Color-matched accessories including the Magic Keyboard and Magic Trackpad now include USB-C ports.

New iMacs can be configured with a nano-texture glass option to minimize reflections and glare. And a 12MP Center Stage Camera, three-microphone array and six-speaker sound system is standard.

Finally, new iMacs will include Apple Intelligence for AI-enhanced functionality like Writing Tools and email summaries.

The iMac M4 with 8-core CPU, 8-core GPU, and 256GB SSD will start at $1,299.

It will be sold Nov. 8.
