Nintendo Co., Ltd. this week said it will shut down online services for the Wii U and the Nintendo 3DS.

In early 2024, online play and other functionality will end for Wii U and Nintendo 3DS software, including online co-op play, internet rankings, and data distribution.

The company said owners will still be able to download update data and redownloaded purchased software and downloadable content from the Nintendo eShop.
