Xbox Series X|S held complete sell out in Nov. at U.S. retail

NPD Group Inc. this week said Microsoft Corp.’s Xbox Series X|S sold out in Nov. at U.S. retail.

The data firm said Xbox Series X|S did not set record hardware sales, but inventory depleted completely and immediately in Nov.

Microsoft in Nov. said the Xbox Series X|S launch was the biggest in company history, with more new consoles sold than any prior generation.

It added the Xbox Series S added the highest percentage of new players for any Xbox console launch.

Finally, 70 percent of Xbox Series X|S consoles are attached to the Xbox Game Pass service.

The Xbox Series X sells at $499 and the Xbox Series S sells at $299.
