Apple Inc. this week announced new Mac computers based on the new Apple M1 company silicon.

New M1 Mac computers include the MacBook Air at $999, 13-inch MacBook Pro at $1,299, and the Mac mini at $699.

The M1 is an 8-core CPU built using 5-nanometer process technology for up to 3.5x faster CPU performance, up to 6x faster GPU performance, up to 15x faster machine learning, ad up to 2x longer battery life when compared to previous-generation Macs.

The M1-based MacBook Air, 13-inch MacBook Pro, and Mac mini will be sold Nov. 17.
