Microsoft Corp. this week sold out of the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S in a scheduled pre-order sale that began Sept. 22 at 8AM.

Amazon sold out of the Xbox Series X is about 10 minutes.

Walmart and Target sold out of the Xbox Series S in roughly 10 minutes.

Best Buy, which delayed its pre-order sales, eventually sold out in several hours after customers complained of checkout issues.

Finally, the Microsoft Store sold out of the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S in about two hours amid site outages.

The Xbox Series X will include an 8-core 3.8Ghz Custom Zen 2 CPU, 12TFLOPS 1.825 Ghz Custom RDNA 2 GPU by AMD, 16GB GDDR6 RAM, 1TB Custom NVME SSD, USB 3.2 External HDD Support, and a 4K UHD Blu-ray disc drive at $499.99.

Graphics fidelity includes 4K at 60FPS, up to 120FPS fidelity, Variable Refresh Rate, Variable Rate Shading, 8K functionality.

The Xbox Series S will include an 8-Core AMD Zen 2 CPU at 3.6Ghz and 3.4Ghz w/ SMT Enabled, AMD RDNA 2 GPU with 20 Compute Units at 1.565Ghz and 4TFLOPS of GPU power, 10GB GDDR6 RAM, and a 512 PCIe Gen 4 NVME SSD at $299.99.

Graphics fidelity includes 1440p at up 120FPS, DirectX ray tracing, Variable Refresh Rate, Variable Rate Shading. 4K streaming media playback and 4K upscaling for games.

The Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S will be released Nov. 10.
