Apple iPad Air to include A14 Bionic chip

Apple Inc. this week announced the iPad Air which will include a new 6-core A14 Bionic chip.

The iPad Air will include a 10.9-inch Liquid Retina display, next-generation Touch ID sensor integrated into the power button, USB-C port, and 6-core A14 Bionic chip for a 40 percent CPU performance increase and 30 percent graphics fidelity improvement compared to the prior model.

In addition, the product includes a 16-core Neural Engine for machine learning.

Finally, the iPad Air will include a 7MP front-facing FaceTime HD camera and 12MP rear camera with 4K video recording functionality.

The 64GB Wi-Fi SKu will be sold at $599 and the 64GB Wi-Fi + Cellular will be sold at $729 in Oct.
