Microsoft Corp. this week began holding a Free Play Days event for the Xbox One at the Xbox Live division.

Through Nov. 17, Xbox Live Gold members can play Nascar Heat 4 and Contra: Rogue Corps at no cost.

Members can purchase Nascar Heat 4 at 20 percent off and Contra: Rogue Corps at 25 percent off during the event.

Nascar Heat 4 is a racing simulator developed by Monster Games that includes 38 tracks and the Xtreme Dirt Tour.

Contra: Rogue Corps is a 3D action shooter that takes place after the events of Contra III: The Alien Wars.

The title includes run-and-gun gameplay, customizable characters, upgradeable stats, and a single-player campaign mode.
