Retailer Amazon.com Inc. this week price cut Capcom Co., Ltd.’s Resident Evil 2 for the PlayStation 4 and Microsoft Corp.’s Xbox One to under $25 in a new sales initiative.

This week, Resident Evil 2 holds a discount price of $24.99, down from the $59.99 MSRP.

Resident Evil 2 has shipped four million units worldwide to date.

The title was released Jan. 25.

Resident Evil 2 is a remake of Resident Evil 2 for the PlayStation.

The final game is rebuilt with the RE Engine used in Resident Evil 7. In addition, it includes a new over-the-shoulder camera and modernized controls.

The Resident Evil franchise has held cumulative sales of 90 million units to date.
