Sony Corp.’s PlayStation 4 ranked as the No. 2 hardware in Japan in the latest data from the region.
Famitsu this week reported the PS4 sold 18,197 units between Aug. 12 to Aug. 18 to rank at No. 2 in overall hardware sales.
The figure includes sales from the week prior due to a Japan holiday.
Professional Baseball Spirits 2019 ranked as the No. 11 software 9,223 units for the period.
In Q1, the PS4 sold 3.2 million units.
PS4 software sales totaled 42.9 million units in the quarter.
PS Plus Memberships totaled 36.2 million.
Sony expects to sell 15 million PS4 units this fiscal year.
The Game and Network Services division, which includes the PlayStation business, recorded revenue of $4.16 billion. It held a operating income of $672 million.
