Nintendo Co., Ltd. this week said it will update the current Nintendo Switch hardware to increase battery life.
The new model, to be sold in Aug., will include a battery life between 4.5 to 9 hours. By comparison, the previous model claimed battery life between 2.5 to 6.5 hours.
The new model battery will last 5.5 hours in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, compared to 3 hours on the prior model.
Nintendo in Sept. will release the Nintendo Switch Lite. It includes a 5.5-inch touch screen and battery life between three to seven hours.
