NPD Group Inc. this week said Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment’s Mortal Kombat 11 for Sony Corp.’s PlayStation 4, Microsoft Corp.’s Xbox One, Nintendo Co., Ltd.’s Nintendo Switch and the PC ranked as the top-selling software in May at U.S. retail.

In May, Mortal Kombat ranked as the No. 1 software across all platforms based on dollar sales.

The title ranked at No. 1 in Apr.

It ranks as the No. 1 best-selling game in 2019 year-to-date.

Developed by NetherRealm Studios, Mortal Kombat 11 is the latest entry in the fighting franchise and includes an all-new story mode, custom character variation system, and brand new fatalities.

The final game includes a roster of fan favorite characters, including Baraka, Raiden, Skarlet, Scorpia, Sonya Blade, and Sub-Zero.
