Urban Armor Gear in Mar. released a new wave of cases to Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd.’s Galaxy S10e, S10, and S10+ in the Monarch line and Plasma series of products.
First, the Monarch Series Case for the Galaxy S10 is a lightweight yet solidly constructed case that includes rubberized side grips, thicker corner protection, and a rear alloy metal frame flanked by a carbon fiber pattern.
The honeycomb rubber sides provide a nice grip and tactile feel for the power and volume buttons. Despite the alloy frame, the case is compatible with Samsung Pay and wireless charging. However, the case is not compatible with reverse wireless charging, which could be a deal breaker for buyers who want to take advantage of the new technology.
The Monarch Series Case for Galaxy S10+ utilizes the same solid construction, but trades the carbon fiber for grained leather and a matte UAG logo for a stealthy exterior.
Both are said to meet 2X Military drop-test standards.
The more economical Plasma Series Case for the Galaxy S10e offers a transparent hard plastic frame combined with extra corner protection, rubberized button grips, and compatibility with Samsung Pay and wireless charging.
The rubber siding doesn’t cover the full side of each phone, which may turn off buyers looking for a consistent texture on each side.
PUNCH JUMP recommends these UAG cases for solid protection and usability.
The Monarch Series Case for the Galaxy S10 and S10+ sell at $59.99 each. The Plasma Series Case for the Galaxy S10e sells at $39.99.
