Nintendo Switch No. 1; New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe No. 1 in Japan

Sales for Nintendo Co., Ltd.’s Nintendo Switch hardware ranked No. 1 in Japan in the latest sales data for the region.

Media Create Co., Ltd. this month reported that the Nintendo Switch sold 61,280 units between Feb. 4 to Feb. 10 to rank as the No. 1 hardware for the week.

It sold 69,472 units the week prior.

New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe ranked as the No. 1 software selling 38,482 units for the week.

In Q3, Nintendo recorded an operating profit of $1.46 billion.

Between Oct. and Dec., the Nintendo Switch sold 9.42 million units to total 32.27 million units sold to date.

In addition, it sold 52.51 million units of software in the period to total 94.64 million units sold to date.

The company expects to sell 17 million Nintendo Switch units by the end of Mar. 2019.
