Media Create Co., Ltd. this month said Sega Games Co., Ltd.’s Shenmue I & II for Sony Corp.’s PlayStation 4, ranked as the No. 4 best-selling title in the latest retail data from Japan.
Between Nov. 19 and Nov. 25, Shenmue I & II ranked as the No. 4 software selling 37,529 units in the period.
Developed by AM2, Shenmue is an action role-playing game in which Ryo Hazaki vows to avenge his father’s death. It was released for the Dreamcast in 2000.
In Shenmue II, Ryo Hazaki arrives in Hong Kong in pursuit of his father’s killer. It was released for the Dreamcast in Japan in 2001 and for the Xbox in the U.S. in 2002.
Each title includes fully-scalable screen resolution, modern or classic control options, PC graphics options, an updated user interface, and Japanese and English voice options.
