Microsoft Corp. this week said Konami Corp.’s Metal Gear Solid HD Edition Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty and Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater HD for the Xbox 360 are Xbox One Backward Compatible.

Metal Gear Solid HD Collection includes Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker.

The backwards compatibility function allows Xbox One owners to utilize their Xbox 360 retail discs to download the software to their Xbox One and play natively with Xbox One functionality.

Backwards compatibility titles include Blinx: The Time Sweeper, Breakdown, Conker: Live & Reloaded, The Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind, Hunter: The Reckoning, Jade Empire, Panzer Dragoon Orta, and SSX 3.
