Nintendo Switch No. 1; Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Torna – The Golden Country No. 11 in Japan

Sales for Nintendo Co., Ltd.’s Nintendo Switch hardware ranked No. 1 in Japan in the latest sales data for the region.

Media Create Co., Ltd. this month reported that the Nintendo Switch sold 37,773 units between Sept. 17 to Sept. 23 to rank as the No. 1 hardware for the week.

It sold 38,738 units the week prior.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Torna – The Golden Country ranked as the No. 11 software selling 5,697 units for the week.

In Q1, Nintendo recorded an operating profit of $272 million from $1.51 billion in revenue.

Between Apr. to June, the Nintendo Switch has sold 1.88 million units.

In addition, it sold 17.96 million units of software in the period.

The company expects to sell 20 million Nintendo Switch units by the end of Mar. 2019.
