NPD Group Inc. this week said Nintendo Co., Ltd.’s Mario Tennis Aces top ranked in the top 20 software in Aug. at U.S. retail.

For the month, Mario Tennis Aces ranked as the No. 16 best-selling video games software across all platforms.

The data firm in June said the title set a record high for launch month sales of a tennis game.

Mario Tennis Aces includes new skill and competitive gameplay. In addition, the title includes a brand new story mode for missions and boss battles.

The final game includes online multiplayer versus functionality.

It sells at $59.99.
