Sony Corp. this week said Mojang AB’s Minecraft: PlayStation 4 Edition for the PlayStation 4 ranked in the top 10 downloads in the PlayStation Network division in June.

For the month, Minecraft: PlayStation 4 Edition ranked as the No. 9 PS4 PSN digital download software.

The title includes four-player split-screen local multiplayer and eight player online multiplayer functionality.

Minecraft is a sandbox simulation title.

The Console Edition includes a training mode that guides new users into the crafting process. In addition, a console-friendly crafting interface allows users to see which materials are needed to craft each item.

In the title, users can craft and build items by chopping world items like trees, rocks, and sand to build an array of tools, fuel, and materials. Tools can be used to craft materials faster, fuel can heat items to form new product or food from the furnace, and materials can be used to build a shelter to keep safe from monsters.
