Sega Games Co., Ltd this week said it will release Shenmue I & II for Sony Corp.’s PlayStation 4, Microsoft Corp.’s Xbox One, and the PC Aug. 21.
Each title will include fully-scalable screen resolution, modern or classic control options, PC graphics options, an updated user interface, and Japanese and English voice options.
Developed by AM2, Shenmue is an action role-playing game in which Ryo Hazaki vows to avenge his father’s death. It was released for the Dreamcast in 2000.
In Shenmue II, Ryo Hazaki arrives in Hong Kong in pursuit of his father’s killer. It was released for the Dreamcast in Japan in 2001 and for the Xbox in the U.S. in 2002.
Shenmue I & II will be sold at physical and digital retail. The digital pre-order will include a 10 percent discount prior to launch.
