Nintendo Co., Ltd.’s Nintendo 3DS ranked as the No. 3 hardware in Japan in the latest sales data from the territory.

Media Create Co., Ltd. this month said the Nintendo 3DS sold 7,052 units between June 11 and June 17 to rank as the No. 3 game hardware for the week.

The hardware sold 6,842 units the week prior.

Nintendo recorded $1.28 billion in fiscal year profits, a 36 percent increase from the year prior.

The company sold 6.4 million Nintendo 3DS units in the fiscal year. It expects to sell four million units in the next fiscal year.
