Nintendo Co., Ltd. this week began pre-purchase sales for the Splatoon 2: Octo Expansion for the Nintendo Switch at the Nintendo eShop.

Customers who pre-purchase the DLC will receive in-game gear to use immediately.

The Octo Expansion DLC, to be sold this summer, will include Agent 8 and brand 80 new missions.

It will be sold at $19.99.

Splatoon 2 is a third-person shooter title that includes 4 vs. 4 turf battles in new stages, new fashions and new weapons.

The title includes a single-player adventure, sensitivity controls, new Salmon Run local and online multiplayer mode, Ranked Battles, League Battles, and Post-Launch updates.

The Nintendo Switch Online app includes access to SplatNet 2, a Splatoon 2-specific service to set up matches, view information, and conduct voice chat via a connected mobile device.

Version 3.0 includes more than 100 pieces of new and returning gear, new songs, weapon balance adjustments, ands X Rank.

X Rank is a Ranked Battle in which top players battle for an X Power level. X Power levels are reset each month and levels lower than the set threshold will be ranked down to S+9.
