Sony Corp. this week said it will begin selling new 3D HDTV models in June.
New 3D HDTV sets will be sold in Japan on June 10 and in global markets.
The 46-inch 3D HDTV will include two 3D glasses and sell at $3,875 (350,000 yen).
Sony in Jan. announced the BDP-S570 3D Blu-ray disc player, which will include 3D functionality out-of-the-box.
In addition, Sony will release a new software update to the Playstation 3 to add 3D functionality in June.
PS3 3D titles showcased at CES 2010 included MotorStorm: Pacific Rift, LittleBigPlanet, Super Stardust HD, Resistance 2, and Killzone 2.
Panasonic Corp. this week will begin selling 3D HDTV models at Best Buy Co. Inc. stores.
