Sales for Nintendo Co.’s Wii decreased in the latest retail tally from Japan.
Media Create Co. on Fri. reported that the Wii sold 25,917 units between Oct. 19 and Oct. 25. to rank No. 4 in overall sales.
By comparison, the Wii sold 29,965 the week prior.
Nintendo on Oct. 1 price cut the Wii to 20,000 yen in Japan.
Nintendo in Oct. recorded a 52 percent drop in profit due to slow sales of the Wii hardware in the second fiscal quarter.
Holiday Wii titles include Wii Fit Plus, New Super Mario Bros. Wii, and Super Mario Galaxy 2.
