Microsoft Corp. this week began offering the Michael Jackson music video ‘Thriller‘ at no cost in the Xbox Live division of the Xbox 360.
The download typically retails for 1,200 Microsoft Points.
Thriller is the landmark 1983 music video directed by John Landis off of the 50-million-unit-selling Thriller album.
The offer follows the death of Michael Jackson on Thurs. in an L.A. hospital. He was 50 years old.
Jackson had been featured in several video games, including Sega Corp.’s Moonwalker for the arcade and the Sega Genesis console. He also appeared in a cameo in the music title Space Channel 5 for the Sega Dreamcast.
