Retailer sells Xbox 360 Live Gold Card at under $28

Retailer Buy.com this week began selling the Xbox Live 12-Month Gold Card for Microsoft Corp.’s Xbox 360 at under $28 via auction seller Ebay.

The retailer is holding a ‘Buy it Now’ auction through Ebay to sell the Xbox Live Gold Card at $27.99 each.

The subscription typically retails for $49.99.

Meanwhile retailer Amazon.com is holding a sale on a range of Xbox 360 products, including the Xbox 360 Wireless Controller at $34.99, the strategy title Halo Wars at $41.99, and Activision Inc.’s Call of Duty: World at War at $39.99.

Microsoft this month showcased a new of new game titles for the Xbox 360.

New titles for 2009 include Halo 3: ODST and Forza Motorsport 3.

Microsoft in May said that Xbox 360 sales have topped 30 million worldwide.

Xbox Live members now total more than 20 million members globally.
