Nintendo Co.’s Nintendo DSi and Sony Corp.’s PSP topped Japan retail charts in the latest hardware figures.
Media Create Co. on Fri. reported that the DSi sold 33,833 units between May 17 and May 24 to rank No. 1 in overall sales.
By comparison, the PSP sold 27,536 units to rank second in the same period.
The DS ranked six titles in the top 10 game sales for the week, including the puzzle title Atamania Sloan to Michael: Nazo no Monogatari at No. 1.
Nintendo in Apr. began sale of the Nintendo DSi at U.S. retail.
