Advanced sales for Sony Corp.’s MotorStorm: Pacific Rift for the Playstation 3 increased on Thurs. as the title nears release in the states.
On Thurs., sales for the title increased 2,425 to rank as the No. 20 best-selling title in Amazon’s Video Games division.
The follow-up to the launch title MotorStorm will take place on a tropical island in jungles, lagoons, and towering peaks.
Pacific Rift will include eight vehicle classes, including a Monster Truck class.
The title will 16 tracks and support 4-player split-screen online 16-player online multiplayer racing.
Amazon is offering a free MotorStorm: Pacific Rift PS3 Theme for customers who pre-order the title.
Sony this month said that sales for the PS3 and the PSP are better than expected and may see a shortage at retail.
The company in Nov. will release a new 160GB PS3 Bundle SKU.
Announced in Aug., the limited edition bundle will include the title Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, a Playstation Network voucher for Pain, and a Dualshock 3 Wireless Controller for $499.99.
