Amazon.com this week sold out of Namco Bandai Inc.’s Tales of Vesperia Premium Edition for Microsoft Corp.’s Xbox 360 due to high-demand for the RPG release.
On Wed. evening, the Tales of Vesperia Premium Edition SKU was unavailable for purchase at the retailer.
The title was released this week in a standard and premium edition in the U.S. on Aug. 26.
The standard edition remained in-stock on Wed.
The Special Edition SKU will feature a SteelBook case and a 10th anniversary soundtrack CD.
The CD includes 25 tracks, with 14 songs from Tales of Vesperia, two from Tales of Phantasia, two from Tales of Destiny, four from Tales of Symphonia and three from Tales of the Abyss.
NPD Group Inc. this month reported sales of 204,800 Xbox 360 units in July U.S. sales, ranking below Sony Corp.’s Playstation 3 and Nintendo Co.’s Wii.
Microsoft in July price cut the 20GB Xbox 360 Pro model by $50 to $299.99.
It began sale of a new 60GB model in Aug.
