August 27th, 2008 · No Comments

Amazon.com this week began offering pre-orders for Universal Pictures’ The Incredible Hulk Blu-ray disc.

The Incredible Hulk carries a release date of Oct. 21 and is being sold at a pre-release price of $27.95.

The two-disc Blu-ray SKU will include exclusive bonus features like U Control to discover more information about the movie without interruption, Thunderbolt Files, Scene Explorer, Comic Book Gallery, and BD-Live features like My Chat and My Scenes Sharing.

Directed by Louis Leterrier, The Incredible Hulk generated more than $134 million at the U.S. box office. The film stars Edward Norton, Liv Tyler, Tim Roth, and William Hurt.

Amazon this week began offering Blu-ray disc titles as low as $15.99 in the latest high-definition promotion.

Titles discounted to $15.99 include Twister, Goodfellas, and V for Vendetta.

Additionally, The Perfect Storm was price cut to $16.49, while The Brotherhood of the Wolf - Director’s Cut was price cut to $16.99.

Toshiba Corp. this month began selling the new XD-E500 upconvert DVD player in an effort to capitalize on consumers unwilling to invest in Sony Corp.’s Blu-ray format.

The player is said to provide standard DVD images closer to high-definition quality, allowing consumers to utilize their existing DVD library.

Additionally, Sony this month released the new 80GB PS3 at an aggressive $399.99, the price of its previous 40GB model.

The product includes a built-in Blu-ray disc drive for high-def movies and a new Dualshock 3 controller with rumble functionality.
