Namco Bandai Inc.’s Tales of Vesperia for Microsoft Corp.’s Xbox 360 held in the top 15 sales at Amazon Japan one week after boosting 360 hardware sales in the region.
On Tues., Tales of Vesperia ranked as the No. 13 best-selling product in Amazon Japan’s Video Games division.
The RPG release ranked at No. 4 in the top 50 software sales upon debut in early Aug., moving a strong 108,328 units in its debut week.
Japan sales for the Xbox 360 increased more than 400 percent on the release of Tales of Vesperia.
The title will be released in a standard and premium edition in the U.S. on Aug. 26.
NPD Group Inc. this month reported sales of 204,800 Xbox 360 units in July U.S. sales, ranking below Sony Corp.’s Playstation 3 and Nintendo Co.’s Wii.
Microsoft in July price cut the 20GB Xbox 360 Pro model by $50 to $299.99.
It began sale of a new 60GB model in Aug.
