Xbox 360 20GB sales up following price cut

Sales for Microsoft Corp.’s Xbox 360 ranked in the top 20 this week at Amazon.com following a price cut of the 20GB model to $299.99.

On Thurs. the 20GB Pro SKU held a 68 percent increase in sales to rank at No. 19 in the Video Games division.

Microsoft this month said that it will discontinue the 20GB SKU and retail a new 60GB model this fall for $349.99.

The product includes 1 Wireless Xbox 360 Controller, 60GB Hard Drive, Wired Headset, Combination Component/Composite A/V Cable, and Silver Xbox Live Service.

Microsoft last week showcased new titles for the Xbox 360, including Gears of War 2, Fable 2, and a new karaoke title called Lips.

Additionally, it introduced new Xbox Live Primetime game show titles, including 1 vs. 100.

It will revamp the Xbox 360 interface to include Avatars and a more chic menu layout this fall.
