Sales for Sony Corp.’s Playstation 3 Metal Gear Solid 4 bundle rocketed to top sales this week at Amazon.com following a restock of the product.
The PS3 80GB MGS4 bundle held a sales increase of 17,733 percent by Wed. evening to rank as the No. 3 best-selling product in Amazon’s Video Games division.
The MGS4 PS3 80GB SKU includes a copy of the Metal Gear Solid 4 game and a Dualshock 3 controller for $499.99.
Metal Gear Solid 4 is the latest entry in the top-selling stealth action franchise. The new title is said to be Snake’s final mission in an attempt to foil Liquid Snake and his army.
Sony last week announced that it will retail a new $399 80GB PS3 SKU this fall.
New exclusive titles to be released in fall include LittleBigPlanet and Resistance 2.
