Amazon.com on Mon. began taking pre-orders for Microsoft Corp.’s new 60GB Xbox 360 Pro SKU following a price cut for the current 20GB Pro model.
The $349 60GB Xbox 360 Pro carries a retail release date of Aug. 4.
The product includes 1 Wireless Xbox 360 Controller, 60GB Hard Drive, Wired Headset, Combination Component/Composite A/V Cable, and Silver Xbox Live Service.
The 60GB SKU is said to replace the 20GB model, discounted to $299 from $349 last week.
Microsoft last week showcased new titles for the Xbox 360, including Gears of War 2, Fable 2, and a new karaoke title called Lips.
Additionally, it introduced new Xbox Live Primetime game show titles, including 1 vs. 100.
It will revamp the Xbox 360 interface to include Avatars and a more chic menu layout this fall.
