Nintendo Co. on Mon. released a new wave of WiiWare and Virutal Console titles to the Wii home video game system.
Pirates: The Key of Dreams is a 1-4 Player shoot-em-up WiiWare title that allows players to sail across the Caribbean to retreive the Key of Dreams. Weapons include rockets, mines, chain shot, saw blades and a flamethrower to take enemies out to sea. The title retails for 1,000 Wii Points.
Super Fantasy Zone is a 1-Player side-scrolling Sega Genesis title. In the title, players take the role of Opa-Opa to avenge the death of his father. The title retails for 900 Wii Points.
Gley Lancer is a 1-Player Sega Genesis title. In the side-scrolling shooter, a war breaks out between humans and a hostile alien race. Main character Lucia hijacks a new prototype starfighter called the Gley Lancer to desroy the evil aliens.
Nintendo last week announced that the Wii is the No. 1-selling home console in the U.S. at 10.9 million units sold to date.
Last week it showcased new titles like Wii Music and Wii Sports Resort at the E3 Media & Business Summit in Los Angeles.
