Nintendo Co. on Tues. demonstrated drum play featured in the holiday release Wii Music for the Wii home entertainment system.

In the new video, a player plays the drums with a Wii Remote and Nunchuk attachment in a concert-like setting.

Nintendo on Tues. said that Wii Music will feature more than 60 instruments including a violin, steel drums, electric guitar, and a cow bell.

In the title, players can play virtual instruments in a non-graded environment. Each user can save his or her arrangement and send it off to another player via WiiConnect24 to allow for another layer of music to be added.

Nintendo this week said that the Wii is the No. 1-selling video game console in the U.S., with sales of 10.9 million units to date.
