Sony Corp. this week demonstrated a non-platform developer level in LittleBigPlanet for the Playstation 3 at the E3 Media & Business Summit.
In the video, the developer demonstrates a level created by a developer that does not utilize traditional platform gameplay.
Instead, the level holds a continuous vertical scroll that requires each player to drop down before the character is exposed to red gas at the top of the level.
Players also can’t rush down towards the bottom part of the level, which also contains red gas.
In its final form, LittleBigPlanet will allow players to custom-create characters, build levels, and share levels with others online.
The title will also include both offline and online multiplayer modes for up to four.
LittleBigPlanet is scheduled to be released on Oct. 21.
