Sony Corp. on Tues. said it will retail a new 80GB Playstation 3 SKU for $399.99 beginning this fall.
Sony said the new SKU will be the focus target of the PS3 product line.
The company currently retails a $399 40GB SKU and a $499 80GB SKU.
Sony said that most buyers are gravitating towards the 80GB product, which includes more storage for downloadable content.
Today, the company launched a brand new video store for the PS3 with content partners including Sony Pictures, Fox, Warner Bros., MGM, and Paramount Pictures.
Titles are available in standard and high-definition formats and can be transferred to the PSP handheld.
