Sony Corp. on Tues. announced the launch of the Playstation Network video store for the Playstation 3.
The service, available on July 15, will include movie & TV content from partners, including Sony Pictures, Warner Bros., MGM, Fox, Lionsgate, Paramount Pictures, and Disney.
Content will be sold in standard and high-definition, with TV shows starting at $1.99 and movies starting $2.99.
Additionally, titles can be transferred to the PSP handheld via the PS3 or by logging into the Playstation Store for PC.
Sony estimates a 1-hour download time for a 2-hour standard definition movie. Also, owners can begin viewing movies 1 minute after the start of download.
Initial titles for download include Resident Evil: Apocalypse, Cloverfield, and Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story.
