July 11th, 2008 · No Comments

Sales for Microsoft Corp.’s Xbox 360 were steady in the latest Japan retail figures.

Media Create Co. on Fri. reported that the Xbox 360 sold 4,776 units between June 30 and July 6, a slight decrease from a total of 5,104 units the week prior.

Bandai Namco Inc.’s Gundam Operation Troy, which charted at No. 10 last week, fell out of top 50 sales.

Additionally, no software titles for the Xbox 360 charted in the top 50 game sales for the week.

Microsoft in June announced a new wave of role-playing titles for the Xbox 360 at the Xbox 360 RPG Premier Event in Japan.

New titles include Infinite Discovery, Star Ocean: The Last Hope, and Tales of Vesperia.

NPD Group Inc. this month said that the Xbox 360 sold 186,600 units in May U.S. sales to rank as the No. 4 video game hardware for the month.
