Konami Corp. on Thurs. sued Harmonix Inc. over the music game Rock Band for patent infringement, Bloomberg reported Thurs.
Harmonix is a division of Viacom Inc.

Released in 2007, Rock Band is a multi-instrument video game title that is sold with guitar, drum, and mic peripherals to form a virtual band.

It was released in June for Nintendo Co.’s Wii.
Harmonix and MTV Games in June announced a sequel to Rock Band, Rock Band 2, to debut exclusively on the Xbox 360.
Konami in May said that it will release a new music title called Rock Revolution, which will employ multiple instruments.
