Konami Inc.’s Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots for Sony Corp.’s Playstation 3 reached the top five sales at Amazon.com this week on high-demand for the latest stealth action title.
The title held the No. 3 rank on Mon. following an entry in the top 10 last week.
Amazon last week began sale of the MGS4 PS3 80GB that includes a copy of the game and a Dualshock 3 controller.
Metal Gear Solid 4 is the latest entry in the top-selling stealth action franchise. The new title is said to be Snake’s final mission in an attempt to foil Liquid Snake and his army.
The game will include custom weapons and modifications through black market weapon trades.
Additionally, Snake’s new OctoCamo suit will allow Snake to blend in with his environment in real-time.
Finally, new high-tech gadgets include Metal Gear Mk. II reconnaissance tool and the Solid Eye to give Snake real-time information on enemies and surroundings.
Konami in May began orders for a limited edition Gun Metal Gray 40GB PS3 bundle that includes a copy of Metal Gear Solid 4 Limited Edition.
The Limited Edition Metal Gear Solid 4 game includes Metal Gear Online, an exclusive behind-the-scenes Blu-ray disc, and CD Soundtrack.
