Microsoft Corp.’s Xbox 360 moved just over 1,200 units in Japan in the latest retail sales data.
Media Create Co. on Fri. reported that the 360 sold 1,298 units between May 5 and May 11. The hardware ranked last in overall sales, behind Nintendo Co.’s Wii and Sony Corp.’s Playstation 3.
Additionally, the Xbox 360 failed to rank any titles in the top 50 sales for the week.
Microsoft this week said that the Xbox 360 was the first next-generation console to reach sales of 10 million units in the U.S.
The hardware sold 188,000 units in the month of Apr., ahead of the PS3 and below the Wii in data from NPD Group Inc.
By comparison, the Wii has sold 9.5 million units and the PS3 has sold 4.1 million units in U.S. date.
