Best Buy Co. Inc. stores on Sun. will begin to offer a discount on Blu-ray disc titles starring Will Smith.
Blu-ray titles include The Pursuit of Happyness and Hitch will be price cut to $19.99, while titles like Enemy of the State, I Am Legend, Independence Day, and I, Robot will be discounted to $24.99.
Independence Day this week ranked as the No. 1-selling Blu-ray disc at Amazon.com following a new ‘Buy Three for the Price of Two‘ promotion for select high-definition titles.
In the offer, customers who purchase three select Blu-ray titles will receive the lowest priced item at no additional cost.
It has also slashed up to 60 percent off HD DVD titles in the latest promotion for the defunct high-definition format.
Best Buy this week discounted an all-in-one Sony PC with a built-in Blu-ray drive as the format starts to integrate into various consumer electronic products.
Panasonic Consumer Electronics Company said this week it will retail the SC-BT100 home theater system which will include an integrated Blu-ray disc player.
